How to work with your local newsroom.

How to Submit a Press Release

  • Include a minimum of one high-resolution landscape photo (no posters or graphics).
  • Attach photos directly to the email (do not embed in documents or paste into the email body).
  • Provide captions for each photo, including source/photographer credit when possible. AI-generated images will not be published.
  • Place the press release text in the body of the email and/or attach it as a Google/Word doc, please, no PDFs.
  • Ideal length: 600–1,000 words.
  • Send press releases 2–3 days before the desired publication date, at latest. One week preferred.

Note: Editors may shorten or edit submissions. Articles intended to promote businesses, ticketed events, or fundraisers are considered sponsored content and handled by our advertising department.
